Station TypeTower Longitude 81° 05.744' W
Responsible AgencyUSF, FIO

Site Notes: A 5-piling USCG structure located in 4 meters of water, 1 nm SSW of Cape Sable at 25° 05.061' N (25.084° N) 81° 05.744' W (81.096° W) Yellow dayboards facing N and S with black letters 'MG' and 4-second amber flasher. Onboard instrumentation monitors Wind Speed/Direction (primary and secondary), Relative Humidity/Air Temperature, Barometric Pressure, Precipitation, Water Level, Water Temperature and Salinity and 1-D wave height(non-directional) . Data is hourly transmitted via the GOES satellite for internet posting. Site funding is via a cooperative effort between the Florida Institute of Oceanography and the University of South Florida's/College of Marine Science.
Note!!The Station is back on-line since 11/06/2008 2200 UTC. The data from Falmouth NXSIC sensor and water level from Aquatrak sensor will be on-line soon. Please do not use the Falmouth NXSIC data at this time. Water level is not gettting posted at this time. Water temperature and Salinity data are suspect, please do not use the same.
